Understanding Delivery Fees, Surge & Distance Pricing
How GrabGo calculates delivery fares, distance-based rates, rain surge multipliers, campus discounts, and the Express Guarantee SLA.
Components of a Delivery Fee
Delivery charges are calculated automatically based on objective, real-time factors:
Distance Calculation (KM)
Calculated based on the shortest driving distance between the store and your exact delivery pin coordinates.
Zone Type (Campus vs Metropolitan)
Discounted flat-rate delivery tiers for university campus zones (e.g. UCC Old Site, New Site, Diaspora Hostels).
Rain & Weather Surge Multiplier
During heavy tropical downpours or severe traffic bottlenecks, a modest rain fee incentive encourages more riders to stay active on the road.
Express Delivery Guarantee
Select Express Delivery for prioritized rider dispatch. If delivery arrives after the promised guarantee time, the express fee is automatically refunded to your GrabGo Credits.
