Managing Incoming Orders & Live Menu Inventory
A guide to accepting orders, setting kitchen preparation times, proposing item substitutions, and handoff to GrabGo riders.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Audible Order Notification
When an order arrives, the vendor tablet sounds an audible chime with full item customizations and customer cooking notes.
Accept & Set Prep Time
Tap "Accept" and confirm estimated kitchen preparation duration (e.g., 15 mins, 25 mins). This automatically schedules optimal rider dispatch timing.
Prepare & Apply Tamper Seal
Cook the dishes, box them securely, and apply the tamper-evident security sticker to the packaging.
Mark "Ready for Pickup"
Tap "Ready" when the food is boxed. When the assigned rider arrives, verify the Order ID on the receipt and hand over the package.
Live Item Availability & Out-of-Stock Management
If an ingredient or dish runs out during busy hours:
Instant Out-of-Stock Toggle (86ing)
Toggle any menu item to "Out of Stock" in the vendor app to hide it from customer view immediately without affecting the rest of your catalog.
In-Flight Substitution Proposals
If an accepted ticket contains an unavailable item, tap "Propose Substitute" to offer an alternative item to the customer. The app automatically manages customer approval and price adjustments.
